2019-2020 Festive Call

For Scores

Felicity Mazur-Park is proud to announce her second annual Festive Call For Scores. Thank you to everyone who submitted a piece in 2018. Over 150 entries from composers from 30 different countries were received! Ultimately, the 16 winning pieces for solo piano were performed and recorded at Dallas Public Library's J. Erik Jonsson Central Library Auditorium on December 22, 2018.

This year the competition features pieces for lyric mezzo-soprano and piano performed by Melissa Piantedosi (lyric mezzo) and Felicity Mazur-Park (piano) and the theme is summer.

Thank you to all the composers who submitted pieces to my 2019 Festive Call For Scores. Every entry received was of extremely high quality. Even though our theme was more specialized this year, we still received over 100 entries so selecting winners was extremely challenging.

The following pieces were going to be performed in Brookline Library's Hunneman Hall on May 12, 2020 at 6:30pm by Melissa Piantedosi (mezzo-soprano) and myself (piano):

Paul Ayres - The School Boy

Max Johnson - In The Gold Room

George Bromley - A Dream Within a Dream

Tamsin Jones - In Summer Time

Due to the coronavirus pandemic the concert took place online on Monday, August 31 at 7pm EST, 6pm central. Please see the announcement video below:
